No. 41 in the Cobblestone Circle Series
Finally it is the day Wendy has been waiting for ~ the first Saturday of summer vacation! Mother promised they would go to the beach today and Wendy popped out of bed bright and early and pulled on her swimsuit right away. She had it hanging on her closet doorknob for weeks. Looking at that sparkly bright pink suit helped get her through those last few tough weeks of school. History class had not been easy for Wendy ~ who cares about all that old stuff anyway? But she won’t waste one minute of a sunny day like today thinking about anything but meeting all of her friends at the beach.
Now to get everything she needs for a glorious day.
Where did she put her new flip-flops?
Oh, there they are.
What else?
She’s going to want a towel ~
~ and her beach bag.
Hmmmm ~ what is she forgetting?
Oh yes ~ her inner tube!
Does it still fit this year?
She grabs everything and
hurries down to the kitchen.
But what does she see there? Father is sitting at the breakfast
table dressed for work! Oh no! It’s only Friday!
No beach today.
But it is soooooooo hot and she’s all
ready for some water fun.
Oh well ~ Plan B can be fun too!

Wendy is made of pink cashmere mini bear fabric.
Her tail is white satin cording and she
measures 3 inches to the top of her head.
Wendy is wearing her pink swimsuit that has silvery sparkles
and two bright yellow decorative buttons.
She has a yellow satin bow by one ear.
Her flip-flops are 1 inch long and are made of cotton lace
and cork ~ they are removable.
Her innertube is made of bright yellow and purple cashmere
and measures 2 inches in diameter and is 1 inch tall.
Duckie has black onyx bead eyes and an orange felt beak.
She will come with the 4 by 2½ by 1 inch tub and
her 5 by 2½ inch beach towel.
Her towel fits nicely into her 1½ inch tall beach bag
when she doesn’t want to lay on it.
