Tillie Cobb
No. 16 in the Cobblestone Circle Series

It is a cold spring morning and Tillie Cobb is standing in her kitchen looking out the window at what just might be the perfect sunrise.   The eastern sky is literally a rainbow progression of dainty pinks at the horizon all the way through deep indigo directly overhead.  She can even pick out a few stars that have yet to be washed away by the daylight.  How many mornings has she stood by this window waiting for the coffee to be ready?  She and Jack built this house shortly after they were married ~ and that was almost 46 years ago.  And to think her mother said it would never last (the marriage that is ~ everyone knew Jack built great houses).  True enough, they were young for marriage but Tillie found what she was looking for in those sparkling eyes of his.   Even during the rough times, she can always counton Jack for a bit of good-hearted mischievous fun.
Take her bunny slippers for example.  Jack bought them for her when she had been upset about needing bifocals.  Although he teased her about the slippers being large enough for her to find without her glasses, she saw through all that and recognized that what he was really doing was reminding her that there are many ways to feel young.

And the look on his face when she actually wore them was priceless!

Tillie is made of white cashmere with light brown cashmere inner ears. She measures just a hair over 3 inches to the top of her head.  Her soft eyelashes were individually sewn of black upholstery thread. Tillie is wearing her pink and white striped flannel nightgown.   It has a small handmade pink ribbon rosette on the front and a white button on the back.   And is roomy enough for a good morning stretch.  On cold mornings she wears her fluffy pink fleece robe.   It has a beautiful white trim hand sewn along the edges.  The back of her robe has feminine pleats to show off her waist.   Her nightgown and robe are made with construction details used on fine clothing ~ with facings on the neck and armholes of her nightgown and set in sleeves on her robe.   Her nightgown has a hook and eye closure ~ the button is purely decorative.  Her nightgown and robe are removeable.  But her bunny slippers are not.
