Ray Abernathy
No. 6 in the Cobblestone Circle Series

It’s a rickety old wheelbarrow but sometimes you need to hold onto rickety old things because of the memories that come to you each time you use them.   And for Ray this old wheelbarrow brings back thoughts of his grandfather giving him rides around the farm.  That was such a long time ago and Ray certainly never imagined he’d be the one running this farm today.  His childhood dreams included big city life, an engineering degree and a technical job with a high profile company.  He had fulfilled those dreams and lived that life for many years but when his grandfather was ready to sell the farm, Ray just couldn’t bear to lose it.   It was the right decision ~ big city life just wasn’t for him.

~ SOLD ~
January 2007

Ray is wearing a pair of overalls from his grandfather.  They are roomy and comfortable and to tell the truth they just make him feel more like a farmer.   He’s been picking apples today ~ the wheelbarrow is full of them!   He’s spent quite a bit of time getting that wheel to shine ~ just like his grandfather.
