Maureen Taggert No. 4 in the Cobblestone Circle Series

’Where has George gone off to now,’ wonders Maureen.   She has just taken a cherry pie out of the oven.   She knows it is one of his favorites ~ especially still warm from the oven.   She saw him grab that silly old tree branch he calls his walking stick, so there’s a good chance he’s up on the mountain again.   That would explain why she hadn’t been bothered by their dog, Twilight, while she was baking. That dog follows him everywhere.   Still, it would be less worrisome for her if he did his walking here in town like everyone else ~ who knows what kind of trouble he might get into up there all alone!   But her George is not like everyone else.   In their 31 years together he has opened her eyes to many things that go unnoticed by most folks.   Yes, being married to George is wonderful in so many ways. ~ SOLD ~ December 2006

Maureen is wearing her cream and orange striped dress with ribbon ruffles.   She may not live in her family home with her sister, Amelia Madison, but she still believes in dressing like the lady of the house.   As their mother was known to remind them throughout their youth~ it only takes a moment to add a touch of elegance.   She comes with her cherry pie made from red beads & glue in a felt crust and bottle cap pan).
