Jack Cobb
No. 17 in the Cobblestone Circle Series

How did he get so lucky!
Jack has that same thought each morning as he walks back up the drive with the morning paper and sees his beautiful Tillie at the kitchen window.   And he chuckles because he knows on a chilly morning like this she is wearing those ridiculous bunny slippers.  He bought them for her as a joke and never thought she would actually wear them!
Sure, most folks only see the serious side of Tillie, but when it comes to teasing and fun, Jack knows Tillie can give as good as she gets.   She is just more subtle about it and he is looking forward to what she has in store for him as a response to the bunny slippers.   She is mighty sharp and quick witted too.  Why just the other day he was explaining to the guys at the potluck dinner that the secret to his happy marriage is that whenever he and Tillie are not compatible, they are complementary.  And while most mistakenly thought he meant that whenever they do not get along they pay each other compliments, Tillie may have been the only one in the room bright enough to catch the joke.   He was saying that whenever they were not the same, they were different.
Complementary ~ serving to fill out or complete ~ mutually supplying what the other lacks.   Tillie is definitely his complement.

Jack is made of light brown cashmere with white cashmere inner ears.  He measures 3½ inches to the top of his head. Jack is wearing his blue plaid flannel pajamas and green slippers.  His pajamas are made with construction details used on fine clothing ~ with facings at the neck, set in sleeves, and a classic drawstring on the pajama pants.   Tiny hems are stitched on the shirttail and the ends of the sleeves and pant legs.   The pajama top has hidden snaps ~ the buttons are purely decorative.  Jack comes with his newspaper ~ he cannot start the day without it! He really had no cause to tease Tillie about needing bifocals since he also needs his specs to read.   His pajamas and eyeglasses are removeable.   His slippers are not.
