It’s one of those evenings Irene looks forward to all year long ~ the first night of the Cobblestone Circle Winter Carnival! And this year the weather is perfect ~ cold and crisp with the tiniest dainty snowflakes sparkling as they float past thousands of twinkling lights strung in the park.
Everyone will be there tonight ~ young and old alike ~ to hear the cheerful music coming from the bandstand as they stroll about marveling at the ice sculptures ~ to take in the tastes and sweet smells of roasting nuts and hot chocolate ~ and really to just enjoy each other’s company.
It’s so nice to live in a place where there are so many who agree that Winter is truly the best season of all!

Irene is wearing her new seagreen velvet coat with beige fluffly trim.
Her matching hat and muff are removeable.
The swarovski crystal hatpin had been her grandmother’s and Irene was so happy to finally have an outfit that shows it off so well. Her hands fit nicely into her hand muff to keep them warm. But it has a crocheted loop to hold it around her neck or on her shoulder when she needs her hands free for eating some of those lucious warm cashews.
