Holly and Ned Larkins #2
Nos. 21 & 22 in the Cobblestone Circle Series

The 4th of July is finally here! It is the BEST day of summer when you are a kid.

The afternoon is full of picnics and games with family and friends ~ and there is even a parade!   Holly and her twin brother Ned are anxious to head to the Village Park where the citizens of Cobblestone Circle will spend the day together eating hot dogs, watermelon, potato salad and cherry pies while they listen to the Dixieland Jazz Band playing in the gazebo.   Flags are waving from every lamppost with red white and blue balloons and streamers on every tree.   And then as evening comes, the lightning bugs flash as though to tease you with a small taste of the spectacular fireworks to come!!   It is a magical night to be sure.

AND you get to stay up way past bedtime!

Holly is ready for the 4th of July!

Holly is made of a grey-brown cashmere with dainty thread eyelashes.   Her tail is thin black leather cording.   She measures just a hair over 3 inches to the top of her head.   Holly is dressed in her navy and white cotton gingham summer top, white shorts and red corduroy shoes.   Red bows accent the front and back of her top.   She also has a red hair bow by her right ear.
Ned is made of a grey-brown cashmere.   His tail is thin black leather cording.   He measures almost 3½ inches to the top of his hat.   Ned is dressed in his navy and white cotton gingham shorts, white shirt, red corduroy hat and white shoes with red shoelaces.   Holly and Ned were sold with their pinwheels which can spin.   They were indeed made with pins so they can be made to hold them in many different poses.

Ned loves a parade!
