George is wearing his pocket watch with the silver chain (the watch is a purely decorative non-functional piece)
and carrying that old tree branch he calls his walking stick.
He has leather suspenders that he started wearing
a while back when his belt got a wee bit too tight.
But he tells Maureen he’s wearing them because
he likes the way they look with his houndstooth trousers.
