Fiona Merrimuffin
No. 55 in the Cobblestone Circle Series

Every Tuesday at 2:30 in the afternoon, Fiona Merrimuffin
has a soothing cup of herbal tea.   She does this
to calm herself because every Tuesday afternoon at
3 o’clock ~ or there about ~ Jeremy Chickering
shows up on her doorstep for his piano lesson.

Herbal tea is so very calming.
Heaven knows there is quite a bit of energy in that child that just needs to get out.   Fiona is waiting patiently for the day when he will be able to sit on the piano stool without spinning or fidgeting or looking out the window every few minutes.

She has seen it time after time ~ the day when it finally clicks for them.   The day children understand that they are capable of producing beautiful music ~ that they can begin to explore different types of music and thus express themselves in a way unlike any other.   She is confident this will happen for Jeremy ~ though it
may take a bit longer for him.   She knows
in her heart that children always rise
to the expectations set for them
if given the support they need.
Perhaps I will just play a soothing tune while I wait for Jeremy to arrive.

Oh no!
Fiona’s thoughts are interrupted by a screech and a crash in her front yard.   Oh dear!   As she looks out the window in time to see Jeremy righting his bicycle, she makes a mental note to call her handyman, Jasper Porterfield, in the morning.

Poor little Jeremy . . .

It’s going to take much more than burlap to protect her
azaleas from the Winter winds and Jeremy Chickering.

Fiona is made from creamy long pile cashmere mini bear fabric.
Her tail is black leather cording and she measures just under 3 inches to the top of her head.

She is wearing her favorite dress with a V-line waist which is made from a black cotton
with cream dots.   At the hemline is a whimsical ruffle ~ can you see all the music symbols?
A beige tone on tone collar is adorned with a tiny ¼ inch pink
and white cameo and a black satin bow underneath.
Dainty beige eyelash trim has been meticulously sewn on
by hand at the collar, cuffs, waist and above the ruffle.
Under her dress Fiona is wearing her eyelet trimmed cream colored bloomers.

Poor little Jeremy . . .
The highly polished wooden piano is a purchased item.
I was thrilled when I discovered it because it is the perfect size for my mice!
It measures 2¾ inches tall by 3¾ inches wide.   And look at all the details!
Three foot pedals and perfect little keys.
You will notice of course that the cover for the keyboard can be opened or closed.
There is even a piece of sheet music with it!
The porcelain teacup and saucer have been joined so that they are one piece.
These too are purchased items.   They have a lovely apricot and green
floral motif and measure just a bit over ¼ inch tall.
Fiona can be posed holding her teacup and saucer if you choose.
A tiny beige lacy doily will also be included for the top of the piano.
