Carson Thistlewhitte
No. 38 in the Cobblestone Circle Series

Carson Thistlewhitte, Eleanor’s middle son, has lived in Cobblestone Circle his whole life.   Well, except for those few years he lived in Arbor City.   And I only mention that because of the dramatic effect those years had on his life. It was during that time that Carson discovered Style ~ and became acutely aware of the impact a person’s surroundings had on their outlook and perhaps even their temperament. He was in the big city to study design and decorating and while there he also discovered his talent in watercolors.

He could have easily become one of the dozen or so well known curator/artists in the larger galleries in the city. But he chose instead to return home ~ knowing the people of the town he loved so well would embrace the chance to add the touch of sophistication that good design or a piece of art can provide.

He opened his gallery in a vacant 2nd floor loft ~ albeit above the barber shop and general mercantile ~ still it had the feeling of the big city with its high ceilings and exposed mechanical systems.   There was even space enough for him to turn part of it into his living quarters ~ which was of course far more appealing than moving back home with Mother.   His dream is to one day turn the old lighthouse into a gallery ~ once he has the money to fix it up that is.

The sale he hopes to make today will definitely be a step toward his goal.   His childhood friend, Amelia Madison, had commissioned a painting of her family estate and she will be coming by later to see the completed work.   Carson examines it closely ~ knowing that he could have drawn the place from memory after all the happy afternoons he spent there.   It hasn’t changed much over the years ~ and perhaps that is one of the reasons Carson decided to return ~ the folks of Cobblestone Circle have always embraced and preserved the beauty of their village ~ now he just has to help them kick it up a notch.

~ SOLD ~
May 2008

Carson is made of pale green long pile cashmere mini bear fabric. His tail is grey satin cording and he measures just a touch over 3 inches to the top of his ears. Carson looks forward to showing the men of Cobblestone Circle how to bring more sophistication to their wardrobe. Today he is wearing his grey slacks and blazer with a yellow T-shirt, checked vest and suede scarf.   Both the vest and blazer are accented with smoky grey glass seed bead buttons. The Madison Estate painting will come in its plastic frame measuring 2¼ by2½ inches.   It has an easel back so it can stand on its own ~ though I’m pretty sure Amelia will place it over the fireplace in the great entry hall.
